Tres Dean

Tres Dean is a contributing writer for GQ specializing in sports, fashion, and the intersections between the two (which most often means covering sneakers). Outside of the going-ons of the sneaker world, he’s profiled athletes like Zion Williamson, defended the valor of reviled directors, and interviewed Travis Scott from the inside of a Range Rover being mobbed by college students. His time as a writer has also seen him write comics and nonfiction books, and he takes particular pride in his 2022 series We Ride Titans from Vault Comics. He is from Richmond, Virginia, and will call Los Angeles home for the rest of his life. Don’t ask him about the 2017 World Series.
